1. The agreement

These Terms form a binding agreement between you (or the business you represent) and Maxam Technologies. If you're signing up on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business.

2. Your account

Provide accurate business information at signup.
Keep your login credentials secure and do not share them.
You are responsible for activity under your account.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use Maxam for any unlawful activity under Pakistani law.
Attempt to breach security, probe, or reverse-engineer the platform.
Upload malicious code or content that infringes third-party rights.
Resell or sublicense the service without our written consent.

4. Soft-launch free offer

During our soft launch, the first 25 verified Pakistani businesses may use Maxam free for 12 months from activation. The offer is subject to:

Verification of your business (NTN/registered name).
Fair-use limits: 1 admin + 2 app users, reasonable data volumes.
After 12 months you may continue on a paid plan or export your data and stop using the service.
We may end the offer early if the 25 seats are filled or if you violate these Terms.

5. Fees and billing (paid plans)

Paid plans are billed in Pakistani Rupees (PKR). Fees are due in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. Taxes are added where applicable.

6. Your data

You own all business data you enter into Maxam.
You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the service.
You can export your data in standard formats at any time.
On account closure, we retain data per our backup schedule then permanently delete.

7. Service availability

We work to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control.

8. Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or PKR 10,000 during the free soft-launch period).

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Clauses that by their nature should survive (data ownership, liability limits, governing law) will survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Pakistan.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email at least 14 days before taking effect.
