1. Who we are

Maxam (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a cloud-based business management platform operated by Maxam Technologies, registered in Pakistan. This policy applies to maxam.com.pk and all Maxam products.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email, phone, business name, NTN/STRN (optional), password hash.
Business data you enter: customers, suppliers, items, invoices, bills, payments, expenses, and ledger entries.
Uploads: logos, receipt images, and documents you attach to records.
Usage logs: IP address, browser, device type, access times, and pages viewed — used for security, debugging, and product improvement.
Support communications: emails and messages you send us.

3. How we use your data

To operate, secure, and improve the Maxam service.
To authenticate you and enforce access controls.
To communicate about your account, updates, and critical service notices.
To comply with legal obligations in Pakistan.

We do not sell, rent, or share your business data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data storage and security

Each business's data lives in an isolated database (database-per-tenant).
Tenant database connection strings are encrypted at rest.
Passwords are stored as salted hashes; we cannot recover them.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
Backups are encrypted and retained on a rolling schedule.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to run Maxam (hosting, transactional email, error monitoring), each bound by confidentiality. We may disclose information if required by lawful order of a Pakistani authority.

6. Your rights

Access & export: download your business data in standard formats at any time.
Correction: edit inaccurate records within the product.
Deletion: request closure of your account and deletion of your data.
Portability: take your data with you if you switch providers.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use privacy- respecting analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) to understand aggregate usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser.

8. Children

Maxam is a B2B product and is not directed to individuals under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email and on this page at least 14 days before taking effect.
